Help: Full Text

Full Text is available for many articles in International Index to Performing Arts. The Full Text page can be accessed from the Full Citation, Article Results page or Journal Record page.

What information does a full text page for an article contain?

Full text pages contain the following brief information about the document (where available):

Access to other full text formats

PDF

If the full text for the article is available in PDF format, a link to the PDF version of the document will be shown. E.g.
Click on the link to open the full text.
Note: PDF files will open in a new browser window.

JSTOR Full Text

If you are a JSTOR subscriber with JSTOR linking enabled and full text is available from JSTOR, a link will be shown at the top of the page which will take you to the full text within the JSTOR site. E.g.
Click on a link to open the full text.
Note: JSTOR links will open in a new browser window.

Project MUSE Full Text

If you are a Project MUSE subscriber with Project MUSE linking activated and full text is available from Project MUSE a link will be shown at the top of the page which will take you to the document on the Project Muse site. E.g.
Click on a link to open the full text.

OpenURL linking

If outbound OpenURL linking has been enabled for your institution, an additional link will appear at the top of the page. Click on this link to forward the article details to your institution's link resolver which will look for the article in other services.

Hit Highlighting

When the full text has been accessed directly from a Search Results page, hit highlighting is used to identify your search terms within the article. A Go to first hit link is displayed at the top of the page allowing you to jump directly to the first hit. Hits are shown with a bright yellow background and where there is more than one hit an icon will be displayed next to each hit to enable you to jump to the previous Previous hit icon or next Next hit icon hit in the document.

Images within the full text

Many articles within International Index to Performing Arts contain images. These are shown in thumbnail size within the full text. To view an enlarged version of the image click the thumbnail.

This opens a new page with a larger version of the image and the image caption displayed. You can see the image in its original size by clicking the View image actual size link.

To print an enlarged image click the Print View link to open the image in a page without any navigation or other graphical elements displayed ready for printing.

Add a full text to the Marked List

You can add a full text to the Marked List so that you can collect together several documents ready for emailing, printing or downloading during your session on International Index to Performing Arts. To do this:

You can view items in the Marked List at any time by following the Marked List link at the top of the page.

Link back to the full text for an article

You can obtain the durable link for a full text article by clicking the Durable URL link in the side panel at the right of the page. A pop-up window will open displaying the URL; you can copy and paste it into your documents and email.

Email

Use the email link in the side panel at the right of the page to go to the Email page which contains a form to enable you to email the full text.

Note: to email more than one item at a time you will need to use Marked List or My Archive.

Print

You can print the full text you are currently viewing in one of the following ways:

Download a citation

Use the Download citation link to go to the Download page where you can choose the format of the citation for the full text for downloading to your computer.

This page provides options for you to download the record in plain text format, download in a format compatible with ProCite, EndNote, Reference Manager and RefWorks or export directly to ProCite, EndNote, Reference Manager or RefWorks.

Save a full text to My Archive

You can save a full text to My Archive for future reference.
