Browse Journals allows you to browse a list of all the journals in International Index to Performing Arts. You can access Browse Journals by following the Browse Journals link on any page of the site.
Journals are listed alphabetically by title by default, with a page for each letter of the alphabet. Any numerical titles are listed first - the browse will open at the page for either the first number or first letter with titles available.
To view a list of journal titles which begin with a particular letter, click a letter (or number) link in the Browse journals by letter panel to the right of the page. The number of journal titles available for each letter or number is shown next to each link.
The Browse journals by letter panel can be hidden at any time by clicking the Hide Panel tab. To reveal the panel again click the Show Panel tab.
Browse Journals also provides access to journals listed alphabetically by subject, with a page for each subject. Follow the Journals by subject link at the top of the page to open the first page of this list.
Once you are viewing journals by subject, click a subject link in the Browse journals by subject panel to the right of the page to view a page listing journal titles on a particular subject. The number of journal titles available for each subject is shown next to each link.
To return to the original list of journals listed alphabetically, click the Journals by title link at the top of the page.
Each journal citation listed in Browse Journals displays the following information (where available):
There is a detailed Journal Record for every journal which provides a list of issues available in International Index to Performing Arts. This can be accessed by following the title link in the journal citation on the Browse Journals page.
You can obtain the durable link for a browse journals page by clicking the Durable URL link in the side panel at the right of the page. A pop-up window will open displaying the URL; you can copy and paste it into your documents and email.
Each journal citation includes a checkbox to enable you to add it to the Marked List.
To add all of the journal citations on the page to the Marked List, check the Mark/Clear all journal records on this page checkbox at the top of the list. A progress indicator will count down the number of records as they are added to the Marked List and the final total will be shown next to the Marked List link at the top of the page. The journal citations will be displayed with a new background color to indicate that they have been added to the Marked List.
To remove all the journal citations on the page from the Marked List, uncheck the Mark/Clear all journal records on this page checkbox.
To add an individual journal citation to the Marked List, check the Add to Marked List checkbox below the citation. The background colour of the journal citation will change to indicate that it is now in the Marked List.
To remove an individual journal citation from your Marked List, uncheck the Add to Marked List checkbox below the citation.
